Join us for a walking tour of North Vancouver’s rapidly transforming waterfront. Following a 10+ year planning initiative, the City of North Vancouver adopted its Central Waterfront Development Plan in 2014. Implementation of this plan is well underway, and the recently completed Polygon Gallery and Shipbuilders' Square have delivered key features of the plan, which aims to create a more vibrant community gathering place with activity and amenities. Led by North Vancouver Director of Planning Michael Epp MCIP, RPP, this walking tour will showcase key elements of the waterfront plan. Discussion will focus on urban design principles used to activate urban space and strategies used to create urban amenities for residents in high density, mixed-use communities.
Space is limited to 25 participants. Please ensure you register as early as possible to secure a spot. Registrants will be emailed the meeting location for the walking tour in advance.
Please join us for a planning social “Pint’n’Plan” at the Tap & Barrel Shipyards location at 8 Lonsdale Avenue in North Vancouver after this walking tour. Anyone is welcome to attend the “Pint’n’Plan”, whether they participate in the walking tour or not.
