PIBC 2026 Annual Conference - Bold Plans. Local Action.
June 2 - 5, 2026
We are excited to be hosting the PIBC 2026 Annual Conference from June 2nd to 5th, 2026 at the Penticton Lakeside Resort and Conference Centre in beautiful Penticton, British Columbia! Watch a welcoming introduction from Penticton's Mayor Julius Bloomfield (below).
This year’s theme — Bold Plans. Local Action. — reflects the evolving landscape of planning in BC and the Yukon, and the urgent need for courageous thinking paired with grounded, community-driven adaptation.
BOLD PLANS ask us to be brave and forward-thinking - to design strategies that challenge convention and reflect long-term, intergenerational thinking.
LOCAL ACTION calls on us to focus on place-based solutions, neighbourhood-level engagement, and the practical realities of making plans work on the ground.
