Planner I (Up to 24-month term position)

Make an impact on Kelowna's future! Kelowna’s Long Range Planning Department excels in city planning by setting the direction for our city’s future growth. Play a critical role in shaping Kelowna by developing new plans that guide how and where we grow, working with staff, community partners, and residents.

Long Range Planning advises the Council on key plans like the Official Community Plan, neighbourhood plans, and other guiding documents, bringing together diverse opinions and values from across the city. You will join a forward-thinking team of experts to undertake various long-range projects and research studies, liaise with internal and external contacts, and respond to public inquiries.

Qualifications

Bring your Planning degree, related experience, and professional skills to help set new directions for our rapidly growing city. Experience with municipal land use planning in both urban and suburban settings is an asset.
