Dynamic leadership will be paramount to the success of the City of Delta’s new General Manager, Development. With true commitment to thoughtful growth and healthy communities, along with strategic visioning on how municipalities accommodate diverse needs, the General Manager will be responsible for leading the Development Department in an innovative manner.

The ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders and community groups while representing the City of Delta in all public forums will be intrinsic to building a strong foundation for furthering Delta’s mandate. The General Manager, Development will lead with a focus on customer service not only externally but also internally, helping to find meaningful efficiencies and streamline processes. The incumbent will bring demonstrated success in developing strategies and initiatives that are at the forefront of development. In addition to technical knowledge, the General Manager will possess exceptional leadership, judgment and interpersonal skills, as well as the proven ability to develop effective working relationships with Council, staff and the community.

With a post-graduate degree, the General Manager, Development brings progressive leadership experience within the civic sector or similar. With intelligence, innovation and modeling best practices, the incumbent will have an open-door policy that encourages collaboration and trust-building.
