Join us for the second of a small number of fun tours arranged by Erick Villagomez in association with the PIBC South Coast Chapter over the next few months, focusing on the local urban landscape!
In this session, tour-goers will be led through Olympic Village by Scot Hein - one of the principal urban designers on the project over the course of its design and construction. The tour will be held Monday, September 12th at 6pm. Scot will be sharing his in-depth knowledge of the people involved and design decisions for the area, sprinkled surely with other anecdotal stories of Vancouver planning during his incredible career in the city.
It's sure to be a great time filled with Scot's patented, witty word-play! The tour will roughly last 1.5 hours, ending at a local brewery to socialize and chat about the experience. This tour will run rain or shine so being ready for wet weather is a must, as is good walking footwear.
Meeting location is the in the Olympic Village plaza with the birds.
Hein has graciously agreed to offer tour free of charge. There will be a limit of 40 attendees (maximum) for this tour (first come first serve), so sign up fast. Hope to see you there!
