Register for free here and join RADIUS SFU and PIBC's JEDDIA Working Group as they share findings from the recent PIBC Equity Audit, an in-depth review of equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and representation within both PIBC and the planning profession.

Drawing on engagement with current and prospective planners, the project explored the experiences of Indigenous, Black, racialized, 2SLGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and disabled planners, identifying both persistent barriers and opportunities for meaningful change.

The findings reveal how experiences of exclusion, belonging, mentorship, career progression, certification, workplace culture, and professional recognition can shape who enters the profession, who succeeds within it, and who chooses to stay. At the same time, the audit identified broader challenges affecting planners across many backgrounds and career stages.
