In this workshop, specifically designed for land use planning consultation, you will learn strategies for managing people in a meeting to keep them on track, out of trouble and always moving forward in positive and meaningful relationships. Topics will include:
- Techniques for Generating, Collecting, and Organizing Ideas
- Developing Working Agreements
- Dealing with Difficult Behaviors
- Decision-Making Tools
- Tools to help participants feel heard
Instructor Julia King Tamang, from Portland, Oregon, has more than 20 years facilitation experience. Her client list spans North American and includes Nike, Xerox, The National Fair Housing Training Alliance, LERN (the world's largest association in service to post-secondary education) and several public agencies in British Columbia. Julia is known for a lively and practical presentation.
