Canadian Cohousing Conference
April 28th - 29th 2018
10:00 AM - 4:30 PM PST

Learn why cohousing members are so happy!  Is it the social connections, the environmental benefits, or the support network?

  • First developed in Denmark, cohousing is a type of housing development planned by the future residents, with the goal of creating a strong-knit community.  Interest in cohousing continues to grow in Canada, particularly in the Lower Mainland's current real estate market.
  • Cohousing appeals to singles looking to "live along together", young families searching for better ways to raise children (especially in higher density forms of housing), and seniors looking to downsize and "age in place" in a connected community.

For the first time ever, the Canadian Cohousing Conference will bring together cohousing enthusiasts with the professionals interested in developing future cohousing projects, including city planners, architects and developers.

The Canadian Cohousing Conference will run for two days - Saturday April 28th at Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House, and Sunday April 29th at SFU Segal Building.

A variety of ticket types are available, including:

  • Tours of existing cohousing communities in the Lower Mainland;
  • Add-on workshop with Tree Bressen to improve meeting facilitation skills;
  • Banquet and keynote address by architect, cohousing founder and TED speaker Grace Kim; and
  • Conference sessions and panels.

Registration is now open at www.canadiancohousingconference.ca
