This course is designed for building officials in British Columbia who review and inspect gentle-density housing (GDH) projects, also called small-scale multi-unit housing (SSMUH).

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

• Describe how the BC Energy Step Code supports energy-efficient housing. 
• Identify what to look for in energy performance documentation and on-site inspections. 
• Apply best practices for reviewing plans and checking energy-related systems in the field. 
• Recognize common problem areas and collaborate effectively with energy advisors and builders.
