SENIOR PLANNER (Long Range Planning & Sustainability)
The City of Campbell River is seeking a permanent full-time Senior Planner.

The job!
As part of the Long Range Planning and Sustainability team, you will work in a fast-paced and citizen service environment. As the Senior Planner you would be responsible for a diverse workload in long range planning and sustainability, and a supportive role for complex planning activities, projects, and initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A graduate degree in Urban, Community or Regional Planning, or an undergraduate degree in a related field with a significant suitable combination of training and education.
- Certification with the Planning Institute of BC (PIBC) or equivalent affiliate, and the Canadian Institute of Planners.
- A minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible planning experience within the last seven (7) years, in community or regional planning, preferably at the local government level.
- Excellent communication, report writing, research, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in project management, community engagement, and building collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.

The current rate of pay for this permanent, full-time, CUPE bargaining unit position is $46.57 per hour based on a 35-hour work week and includes a comprehensive benefits package. Effective January 2, 2022 the wage for this position increases to $47.62 per hour.
