Position: Assistant Development Manager
Job Type: Full Time, Monday - Friday

Position Overview:
The Assistant Development Manage reports directly to the Development Manager providing administrative and research support to the Development Management Team. This individual will assist in preparing land development reports, correspondence and drawings submissions to local municipalities involving architecture, landscape and civil engineering design. The Assistant Development Manager will be responsible for enhancing the Development Teams’ effectiveness by providing seamless support and representing them professionally to others. A successful candidate will be an avid team player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment and enjoys working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising and project coordination of consultants and their scope of work
- Liaising and correspondence with municipal staff
- Attending meeting and preparing professional minutes
- Review of neighbourhood plan requirements as they apply to a prepared and active development application as well as research related to the application
- Letter and report writing
- Land use and density analysis
- Assist in maintaining schedules and budget preparation on a weekly basis
- Maintain and update data in shared drive – drawings, surveys, reports, municipal correspondence
- Additional duties as required
Skills Required:
- 5 years of experience in land development/urban planning
- Post-secondary education (required)
- Intermediate level knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite (O365)
- Intermediate level knowledge of MS Project
- Strong Excel skills preferred
- Superb attention to detail with strong organization and planning
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to adjust style for various audiences
Driving Responsibilities:
This role requires frequent short distance driving within the lower mainland. Must have own reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
