Mobilizing for Climate Change - Adaptation in Action-
Deborah Harford, Executive Director, Adapation to Climate Change Team, SFU
Climate change impacts are becoming visible across Canada and the rest of the world. Severe weather, extended drought, and sea level rise are three of the top challenges facing planners and engineers as well as policy makers and industry leaders as we work to ensure the sustainability of our communities and businesses. This one-day course introduces the need for adaptation planning through explanation of current and future challenges, and provides insights into adaptation resources as well as examples of practical actions being taken locally and abroad.
