We are excited to announce that registration is NOW OPEN for Cohort 4 of Urban ReVision: BIPOC Mentorship Studio! Applications close on Sunday, Oct 5th at 11:59 PM PDT.

Program dates are from Oct 18 - Dec 11, 2025.

Urban ReVision: BIPOC Mentorship Studio is a FREE 3-month long program for self-identifying BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of colour) youth, ages 18-30ish, who are passionate about shaping the future of their cities. This program aims to build diversity in the urban planning and civics professions, as well as to build the capacity of BIPOC youth who may face higher barriers to accessing and influencing professional urban planning and civic spaces across Metro Vancouver.

Core components of the program include:

  1. Learning about the multi-faceted aspects of urban planning and civic governance, with a focus on civic action, dialogue, community building and engagement, and how it connects to other facets of our cities, communities, and careers in these fields;

  2. Mentorship with BIPOC professionals, where participants can explore city issues that matter to them and reflect on potential career pathways in the planning and civics fields;
  3. Project development and completion about local urban issues, in collaboration with peers and in partnership with local planning firms. The project component intends to provide an opportunity for youth to gain project management skills, think critically of planning and civic processes, and understand how local decisions are made through experiential learning.

The program will take place in-person in Downtown Vancouver from Oct 18th - December 11th 2025. An honorarium will be provided for all participants at the end of the program.

Registration: Self-identifying BIPOC youth that are aged 18-30ish and based in Metro Vancouver can apply. No previous experience in urban planning or civic governance is needed to participate in this program—we welcome BIPOC youth of any and all backgrounds. Youth from communities experiencing social, economic, and other barriers, including youth who identify as disabled, 2SLGBTQIA+, and newcomers are strongly encouraged to apply. REGISTER HERE.
