The Resort Municipality of Osoyoos, BC located in the beautiful south Okanagan Valley is accepting applications for the position of Senior Planner.

Position Information

The Town of Osoyoos is seeking an individual motivated to provide professional planning and development services to internal and external clients in the position of Senior Planner.  This position reports to the Director of Planning and Development Services and will work cooperatively with diverse workgroups in the organization and have the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with Council, Committees and outside agencies.  The challenging workload includes a varied, diverse and sophisticated level of professional opportunities.

The preferred candidate will have a master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning or a closely related field combined with 3 years related experience OR a bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Planning or a closely related field combined with 7 years related and varied experience. Additional university accreditation in planning-related programs such as urban design, sustainable development or community engagement would be an asset. The preferred candidate will have knowledge of the Community Charter, Local Government Act, and other provincial policies in respect of planning matters;

This is position is a full-time unionized position that is 35 hours/week. The hourly rate is $39.76 - $44.18 per hour, plus an attractive benefits package.
