Our city, known for its excellent community services and rapidly growing population, is currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Planning and Development Officer to join our team on a term basis, covering a maternity leave. About the Role:

In this role, you will contribute to the development of our thriving city by utilizing your skills in planning, problem-solving, and community engagement. Your responsibilities will include strategic city planning, sustainable development projects, zoning, and land use, and fostering excellent relations with our vibrant First Nations and Placer Mining communities.

Key Requirements:

• A degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Environmental Planning, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of local and regional planning processes and legislation will be an asset.

Salary & Benefits:

This is a Union position, salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Agreement. The position is classified as level 5 with a salary range of $75,259 - $90,312, plus benefits.
