Since opening in 2019 the City of North Vancouver’s Shipyards project has earned the reputation of one of the best public spaces in Metro Vancouver. Where do we go from here? We are looking for a Manager, Special Projects who can lead multidisciplinary teams in strategic planning, and innovative, public realm and activation projects. The Shipyards and North Vancouver’s waterfront are a regional magnet for culture and tourism, an economic engine, as well as a much loved local place of gathering and celebration. Key projects in this seminal role will include leading the Shipyards Plan: a public realm framework to deepen the identity of the Shipyards and an operational plan to get us there, as well driving a Wayfinding and Connectivity Plan to strengthen public realm connections across North Vancouver’s waterfront and beyond. Your exceptional communications skills , project management skills and ability to form and lead teams, and your passion for innovation in public realm will see you as a key member City of North Vancouver’s integrated public space team collaborating with your colleagues in The Shipyards, Parks and the Public Realm Infrastructure teams.

Salary range: $119,964 – $141,132 annually (2024 rates).
