What will it take to ensure that BC’s public water and wastewater assets are financially sustainable, and how prepared are BC communities to meet the financial needs of maintaining and replacing their water and wastewater assets? In an era of aging infrastructure and fiscal restraint, the answers to these questions are critical to provide compelling evidence that informs the public and elected officials about the need to take action on their buried assets.
To address this information need, the BC Water & Waste Association (BCWWA), together with Urban Systems, have developed an inaugural “Water Infrastructure Report.” This report aims to inform the dialog about water system investment priorities by providing quantitative evidence about the magnitude of water infrastructure renewal needs in BC.
Join us for a “sneak peek” of the study results, which examine financial data from 162 municipalities around BC.
