Kootenay-Rockies PIBC Professional Development -followed by the Chapter AGM Wednesday, October 26, 2016 9:00am-4:30pm followed by the Chapter AGM 5:30pm-7pm (supper included) Nelson & District Chamber of Commerce 91 Baker Street, Nelson, BC DescriptionProject Management for Professionals is a one day introductory course that enables project managers and team members to better deliver successful projects on time, on budget and in scope. Participants will learn how to plan and control project work, identify and manage stakeholder engagement, as well as a brief introduction to the psychology of influence and persuasion. Participants will learn about project management from ‘concept to cash’ or from the initial contemplation of a project to the realization of its benefits after successful implementation. The course will provide immediate returns on your learning investment by providing participants with a detailed work book and project templates. 
This course will account for 7 hours towards the 35 hours of professional project management training required to write the Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation Exam. Trainer
Dr. Dale Christenson, DPM, PMP, CMC is the founder and president of the Project Management Centre of Excellence Inc. (2009). He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and Project Management Professional (PMP) specializing in project management consulting and training. Dale has a Doctorate in Project Management from Royal MIT University in Australia and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees, diplomas and certificates in Criminology, Counseling Psychology and Project Management. Dale has 14 peer reviewed journal articles to his credit and two book chapters. He is a frequent seminar and keynote speaker at conferences. Cost:
