In this three-day online course, learn the steps in designing, implementing, and learning from an effective public engagement process. How can you properly diagnose power dynamics and bias – both internally and externally – to inform better engagement design? This course covers the entire design process, with a focus on meeting community and stakeholder expectations for public engagement. You will identify strategies for ensuring that organizations embed and maintain public engagement values and practices over the long-term. You will also learn how to broaden and diversify the people and perspectives engaged, enriching the process.
