Housing solutions on and off reserve is more complex than simply building doors and roofs; each community has specific needs, interests, and experiences that may provide both opportunities and challenges to initiating quality, sustainable housing.  With a diversity of federal programs available, MDS is working across the Province to meet Nations wherever they are at in meeting their communities' housing needs and goals.

Focusing on Toquaht Nation's housing project currently under construction, this presentation will explore a project nearing completion that dovetailed community infrastructure, land use, and asset management needs alongside a new housing project to maximize federal funding.  MDS has been working in a mentorship role throughout this project, from needs asset through to operations and management. Click here for speakers biographies.
