The Pacific NorthWest Economic Region (PNWER) and its partners are bringing a major summit to Portland, Oregon from July 23 - 27, 2017. This will be an opportunity to meet more than 500 elected officials and leaders from private industry, academia and the non-profit sector throughout 10 states, provinces and territories who come together to discuss and address the largest regional issues and challenges. 
This year we're excited to announce the AEC (architecture, engineering, and construction) hackathon, a new pre-summit event for innovators and professionals that will take place the weekend before on July 21-23, 2017. With access to cutting edge technologies for 3 days, participants are asked to help improve the industries that play a role in shaping the built environment and support human interaction with these spaces. The PNWER Summit's opening Sunday evening reception will feature the winning teams from the Hackathon, showcasing the innovative concepts they have developed.  More details can be found here: https://aechackathon.com/portland/
