To acknowledge and celebrate June 21st National Indigenous Peoples Day, PIBC has developed a webinar on the important issue of Truth & Reconciliation: What Planners Need to Know During a Public Consultation!  What role does the planning profession have in supporting reconciliation during the public consultation process, and how can they develop culturally aware land use planning that establishes and maintains mutually respectful relationships? Case studies of planning processes engaging Indigenous communities in different areas of the Province will be presented – preconceptions, expectations, what worked, what didn’t, challenges, successes, and lessons learned.

Date & Time:

Wednesday, June 20th, 2018 (the day before National Indigenous Peoples Day)
12:00 noon – 1:30 pm
