What do we, as planning professionals, know about how the Building Act will impact us? What do we not know? What are our next steps as planning professionals? How do we support the goal of greater consistency, while instilling innovation where it is merited and supportable by industry?

This webinar, presented by Emilie Adin MCIP, RPP at the City of North Vancouver, explores planners’ outstanding questions, concerns and expectations in the wake of the Building Act. If time permits during this webinar, Emilie will also discuss building  energy efficiency requirements as part of the new Act as well. Staff from the BC Building Safety & Standards Branch will also be in attendance to answer questions from webinar participants.

Speaker:
Emilie Adin MCIP, RPP has been with the City of North Vancouver for 7 years and has been the Deputy Director of the Community Development Department since 2012.
