Stanley Park Sites and Stories: Then and Now - Feb 21
Landscape Architect and Author, Adrienne Brown, will explore the cultural impacts that have shaped an area inhabited for centuries that is today called Stanley Park. Brown will look at the places and objects that have come and gone, developments which were envisioned but never built, and describe the history of some of the cherished structures and spaces which remain in the park today.

Tales From the West End is an evening to explore and experience our community through stories about our common past. The event is held at one of Vancouver’s most storied buildings, formerly known as “Maxine’s” and now home to JJ Bean Coffee Roasters.

Michael Gordon, the City of Vancouver’s Senior Planner for Downtown Vancouver, is February’s featured storyteller. Michael has given several tours and presentations on both the West End and Downtown Vancouver. This month, he’ll be speaking on the history of West End high rises.
