Student Member
A Student Member is a post-secondary planning student who:
- Is currently enrolled in a university Planning school/program which is formally recognized by the Canadian Institute of Planners/Planning Institute of BC.
- Agrees to abide by the Institute’s bylaws & Code of Professional Conduct.
OR
- Has a degree from a Planning school/program which is formally recognized by the Canadian Institute of Planners/Planning Institute of BC. AND is enrolled full-time in another university degree program.
- Agrees to abide by the Institute’s bylaws & Code of Professional Conduct.
Student Membership includes equivalent joint membership with the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP).
IMPORTANT NOTE: As part of the Planning for the Future project PIBC, in cooperation with CIP and our affiliated professional planning associations across Canada, is in the midst of a major review and renewal of our Membership criteria, requirements and processes.
Substantial changes to the requirements for professional Membership and the process taken by membership applicants will result from this project.
