Fellow Member
A Fellow Member is a long-standing and exceptional professional Full Member in good standing of the Institute who:
- Has been acknowledged by the Canadian Institute of Planners nationally for an outstanding contribution to planning and the profession.
- Agrees to abide by the Institute’s bylaws & Code of Professional Conduct.
Fellow Membership includes equivalent joint membership with the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP).
IMPORTANT NOTE: As part of the Planning for the Future project PIBC, in cooperation with CIP and our affiliated professional planning associations across Canada, is in the midst of a major review and renewal of our Membership criteria, requirements and processes.
Substantial changes to the requirements for professional Membership and the process taken by membership applicants will result from this project. Currently the changes are expected to take effect as of the end of 2011. Anyone considering Membership should be aware of these coming changes. For more information on this project click here.
